India Humanity Foundation (IHF) partnered with the Indian Food Banking Network (IFBN) to bring vital nutrition support to students from low-income families. Through this collaboration, 200 essential ration kits were mobilised and delivered to IHF’s central godown in July 2025.
Each kit was thoughtfully packed with staples including 3 kg of Rice, 2 kg of Aata (wheat flour), 1 kg of Mosoor dal (Lintel), 1 kg of salt, 1 litre of Mustard oil, and 100 grams of spices. These items carefully chosen to support balanced and wholesome meals.
These kits were then donated to the Rotary Vivekananda School and Skill Development Center, which runs a mid-day meal program benefiting over 500 children. With this support, the school will be able to continue providing meals for the next three months.
Most of these children come from severely underprivileged backgrounds. With both parents often working long hours outside the home, many students rely entirely on the mid-day meal at school as their primary source of nutrition. By ensuring the continuity of this essential service, IHF reaffirms its commitment to addressing hunger and supporting education among India’s most vulnerable communities.
