As a first generation global serial entrepreneur, he has scripted several highly successful businesses both in India and abroad. He is known for having established a firm footprint in Dubai and has been successfully running international trading operations worldwide. Back home in India, the Infinity Group under his Chairmanship has been living up to its name and maxim of creating infinite possibilities. It is the Infinity banner which with its maiden project ‘Think Tank’ catalyzed Sector V of Kolkata from a dormant suburb into a vibrant and dynamic address. Sector V since then, has gone from strength to strength and is now recognized as Eastern India’s undisputed tech no-commercial hub. Deservedly he is also often credited with pioneering a Green Building movement in India. Under his leadership, Infinity has delivered path breaking projects such as Infinity Benchmark – a Platinum LEED certified (7th in the world and 2nd outside USA) building from US Green Building Council (USGBC) and Infinity IT Lagoon – a Gold certified building from Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) to name just a couple. In the pipeline are ambitious projects such as Infinity Heights, a sprawling residential township in Eastern India’s state of Assam and the very iconic Krishna Bhumi, a temple township in the heart of Vrindavan in India which promises to put the holy city on the global world map. Greatly admired by the business community, colleagues and friends alike for his affability and energy, he has also been a mentor, an angel investor and a venture capitalist for several start ups that have gone on to post remarkable success. Deeply passionate about philanthropic causes and making a difference, he has added tremendous value to noteworthy organizations such as ‘Akshaya Patra’, ‘The Jaipur Foot’, ‘Ramakrishna Sarada Mission’ and ‘Round Table India’ to name just a select few. He has also initiated a unique program called ‘Anant’ for awarding scholarships to meritorious students.
