Ten-year-old Sunil (name changed) from Bagda, North 24
Parganas, West Bengal, was born with a complex congenital heart
defect that made everyday activities a challenge. His condition required
urgent and advanced medical intervention that his family, dependent on
small-scale farming, could not afford.
Through the Saving Little Hearts initiative of India
Humanity Foundation, Sunil underwent two critical cardiac procedures on 26th
and 28th September 2025 at R.N. Tagore Hospital. The
surgeries were intricate and high-risk, but the medical team, supported by IHF,
ensured he received the best possible care.
Sunil responded positively and recovered faster than expected. He has now returned home and is slowly resuming a normal life, free from the constant struggle to breathe. His father described the support received as “a blessing beyond words,” reflecting the impact of timely medical intervention.
